Well Our First Weekend comes as we have had our first partially week comes to an end. I hope you guys had a great first week in Field. My Partner (Laurel Barker) and I have gotten to know our 4th grade class. We love our teacher and she is giving us great pointers and we have our first observation on Thursday. We will get to teach Math. YIKES!!!
I love being in the classroom and among the students. Our field class has 30 students and a great mix. And has one of the prettiest little girls I have every seen. I got to give a spelling test today and realized I am no good at coming up with sentences on the spot for spelling words.

I miss you Kristie! I am so glad to see that you are having a great time in field! I think we will all learn a lot about ourselves as we actually start teaching in a classroom. I had a great first three days as well and I felt like they went by pretty fast because we were so busy! However, I can already tell that I will be looking forward to weekends off!! You will be such a great teacher! Keep being awesome!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear that field is great for you. I would like to have heard you give the spelling test. I'll bet you did better than you thought. Brooke and I also have a fourth grade class. They are great! There is a cute little girl in our class who loves to read. She has the new Shannon Hale novel, and every time she finishes her work, she grabs her book and reads while she can. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI got to do a spelling test too. I found the same thing about coming up with sentences on the spot. Some of the students would look at me funny when I said sentences and I wondered if it was something that their teacher does. Some of them would laugh but continue to work, So I kept coming up with my RANDOM sentences. It was quite fun. Every time I take charge of a group or the whole class I get to see a little more of their personality and I love it!
