Love It!!!!!!

Hey Guys,

Hope you all are having fun in your classrooms. Sandy and I are having so much fun. I love the kids in our classroom they are amazing!!!!! On the first day of class, Sandy and I have received a couple of the sweetest letters from some of the kids in class telling us how glad they are we are there. It just completely melts your heart. I have them hanging on my fridge at home :) This week was a bit crazy with parent teacher conference, report cards, testing, etc. Being in the classroom definitely opens your eyes to the massive amount of juggling and adjusting a teacher goes through every single day. My favorite part of the day is first thing in the morning when we get to see all of the children’s bright smiling faces as they walk into the class. Sandy and I haven’t had a chance to teach yet, but will be soon and are looking forward to it. Thankfully Ms. Forsyth has asked us to prepare lesson on Native Americans which we already have from our assignments. Yeah!!!!! Now we will get to see if it was a solid lesson or not and whether the kids were interested in what we will be presenting. Our teacher is so sweet and really good with the kids. She is the only ESL endorsed teacher in the 4th grade which means she has a high percentage of ESL students. This has been wonderful to see and experience and will provide Sandy and I with some useful knowledge and tools for our future classrooms.  So far our experience has been wonderful. I don’t know if I would change anything at this point. I am loving the real world experience that field is providing and am so thankful for this opportunity.

  1. There is a lot that goes on in a school and class:) How are you doing with the ESL students? Do you find yourself teaching differently?

I knew you and Sandy would do great. You're both so outgoing and fun. My favorite part of the day is first thing in the morning too. The students are fun to talk to and to watch as they interact with their friends. Good luck teaching your lessons. I'm sure you guys will do great:)
